MECHANICS LIEN WARNING

Anyone who helps improve your property, but who is not paid, may record what is called a mechanics lien on your property. A mechanics lien is a claim, like a mortgage or home equity loan, made against your property and recorded with the county recorder.

Even if you pay your contractor in full, unpaid subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers who helped to improve your property may record mechanics liens and sue you in court to foreclose the lien. If a court finds the lien is valid, you could be forced to pay twice or have a court officer sell your home to pay the lien. Liens can also affect your credit.

To preserve their right to record a lien, each subcontractor and material supplier must provide you with a document called a ‘Preliminary Notice.’ This notice is not a lien. The purpose of the notice is to let you know that the person who sends you the notice has the right to record a lien on your property if they are not paid.

BE CAREFUL. The Preliminary Notice can be sent up to 20 days after the subcontractor starts work or the supplier provides material. This can be a big problem if you pay your contractor before you have received the Preliminary Notices.

You will not get Preliminary Notices from your prime contractor or from laborers who work on your project. The law assumes that you already know they are improving your property.

PROTECT YOURSELF FROM LIENS. You can protect yourself from liens by getting a list from your contractor of all the subcontractors and material suppliers that work on your project. Find out from your contractor when these subcontractors started work and when the suppliers delivered goods or materials. Then wait 20 days, paying attention to the Preliminary Notices you receive.

PAY WITH JOINT CHECKS. One way to protect yourself is to pay with a joint check. When your contractor tells you it is time to pay for the work of a subcontractor or supplier who has provided you with a Preliminary Notice, write a joint check payable to both the contractor and the subcontractor or material supplier.

For other ways to prevent liens, visit CSLB’s internet website at www.cslb.ca.gov or call CSLB at 800-321-CSLB (2752).

REMEMBER, IF YOU DO NOTHING, YOU RISK HAVING A LIEN PLACED ON YOUR HOME. This can mean that you may have to pay twice or face the forced sale of your home to pay what you owe.

RELEASE FROM CLAIM OR MECHANICS LIEN FOR WORK THAT HAS BEEN PAID FOR. Upon satisfactory payment being made for any portion of the work performed, the Contractor shall, prior to any further payment being made, furnish to Customer a full and unconditional release from any potential lien claimant or mechanics lien authorized pursuant to Sections 9400 and 9404 of the Civil Code for that portion of the work for which payment has been made.

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION

You may cancel this transaction, without any penalty or obligation, within three (3) business days [or 7 business days for repair or restoration of residential premises damaged by sudden or catastrophic event for which local, state, or federal state of emergency has been declared] from the date of the transaction. If one or more maintenance has been completed, you are responsible for$199 fee for eachmaintenance performed prior to cancelation.

If you cancel, any property traded in, any payments made by you under the contract or sale, and any negotiable instrument executed by you will be returned within ten (10) days following receipt by the seller of your cancellation notice, and any security interest arising out of the transaction will be canceled.

If you cancel, you must make available to the seller at your residence, in substantially as good condition as when received, any goods delivered to you under this contract or sale, or you may, if you wish, comply with the instructions of the seller regarding the return shipment of the goods at the seller’s expense and risk.

If you do make the goods available to the seller and the seller does not pick them up within twenty (20) days of the date of your notice of cancellation, you may retain or dispose of the goods without any further obligation. If you fail to make the goods available to the seller, or if you agree to return the goods to the seller and fail to do so, then you remain liable for performance of all obligations under the contract.

To cancel this transaction mail or deliver a signed and dated copy of this cancellation notice, or any other written notice to: support@fusesbd.com or Contractor at 14562 Fabiola Ln, Eastvale, CA 92880, United States not later than midnight of three days following the transaction date.

Fuse is an excellent, well-trained, and experienced company. I initially called them for maintenance on my tankless water heater, but when it eventually needed replacing, the service was impeccable. They ordered the new unit on Tuesday, and it was professionally installed by Thursday. I also had them diagnose an issue with my AC unit, which will also be replaced at a later time by them. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of work and equipment provided. I especially appreciated their punctuality, clear communication, and the respect they showed for my home. Highly recommended!

Alex from Fuse came out to help us twice; the first for HVAC maintenance (cleaning our AC system) and the second to diagnose and fix an electric circuit controlling our grounded outlets. He provided excellent & timely service with great pricing. In particular, he was extremely persistent & patient while mapping one of our electric circuits to find & identify which GFCI outlet was responsible for the breaker trip (it was hidden away!). Very nice guy and great work!

We have consistently received prompt and professional responses and service from Fuse HVAC and Plumbing. Our technician Alex knows his stuff and takes a lot of pride in his work. He thinks things through and works so that there are no mistakes or problems. And he is great at HVAC and plumbing too! Ask him any question and you will receive a thoughtful response based on experience and the goal of helping the customer. Very glad to have found a good company in the area.

I can't say enough good things about [Maintenance Person's Name]! He arrived right on time and brought an incredibly positive attitude that made the whole experience stress-free. He was super helpful from the start, quickly diagnosing the issue with impressive knowledge. What stood out most was how clearly he explained the problem—no technical jargon, just straightforward facts so I understood exactly what was wrong. He also walked me through the pricing with complete transparency, breaking down every cost before starting any work. Professional, friendly, and thorough—highly recommend!

No upselling or nonsense, just fixing what was needed, which is so refreshing. I highly recommend Fuse. This fix saved us money from having to buy another dishwasher. Great job overall.

I've used Fuse for both our rental property and our own property. The service is some of the best I've ever experienced. Alex has fixed 2 dryers, a washer, fixed plumbing, and maintenance on my AC unit. My buddy used Fuse as well to fix his AC unit. Alex and the rest of the crew are amazing. Super kind, and really want to make sure they take care of you. They also are great at telling you what you can do to prevent yourself from future issues and even will answer tons of questions and not treat it like it's some ancient secret passed down from appliance tech to appliance tech. Go with Fuse, trust me.

Alex came as scheduled. Communication was great. He explained the issue and fixed quickly. He was very upfront and honest with what the issue was and how he can fix unlike another company that tried to upcharge me for other services before letting me know the issue. Pricing very fair as well. We will definitely use their services again.

Fuse helped us with a number of things: washer repair, new water heater installation, Viking range hood motor deep cleaning, sink faucets installation, toilet installation, and bathroom fans installation. Alex and Mike (technicians) provided fast and professional service at a fair price. Annie at the call center is friendly and helpful. Other pros complimented on how well our water heater was installed. Fuse is an excellent company we trust and will definitely call on again in the future.

We've had a few issues with our drying machine and Technician Alex has been able to help us with repairs! He is very polite and professional during each visit. He's patient when it comes to explaining the issue to us and what he did to repair it. All in all, the service was great and our drying machine is up and running like normal.

Highly recommend! We've had this company out a few times now and every experience has been excellent. They first came to repair our dryer a few months ago, and a couple months later when a completely unrelated sensor went out, they fixed it free of charge. Recently, the same issue happened again and they came out right away, repaired it, and even took the time to explain how to maintain the dryer to keep it from happening again. What really stood out was how kind and helpful they were. It's rare to find a company that's this honest, fast, and genuinely cares about helping you take care of your appliances. We'll definitely keep using them for any future repairs and recommend them to anyone who needs great service!
